Terms and Conditions

Fees are displayed on my website. Fees cover all equipment and materials needed for the workshop activity unless otherwise specified.

On occasion, additional fees may be charged when services are outsourced, such as for clay firing or document printing.

Where possible, I will clearly specify what additional fees will be ahead of time. Fees are due in full before your child’s workshop. Those with unpaid fees or that have missed workshops will need to negotiate to attend further workshops.

Term fees are non refundable once a term has started. Where possible, we can apply these to a future term if it suits both parties. You are required to let us know if there are any food allergies or other health conditions that we need to be aware of.

Workshop operations

The workshops are carefully organised around student skill levels and age. The number of students are limited in each workshop which is both good, so the student gets more individual time, as well as bad, as it can make it difficult for the provision of make-up/catch-up workshops.

The workshops require a minimum number of attendees to happen. On occasion and at our discretion, if insufficient attendees have booked, workshops can be cancelled or rescheduled. In this case, we refund fees paid minus any payment gateway fee which we are unable to avoid (typically 2-5%).

Our workshops are covered by our public liability insurance.

Creating can get messy and as such please attendees need to come expecting to get messy. We provide aprons, safety glasses and gloves and encourage the attendees to wear them. We take great care to keep the environment as safe as possible, but realise that accidents sometimes happen and we endeavour to keep our workshops safe, fun and not stressful.

The start and end of our workshops start at the time specified, so please arrive on time. If early, please wait for the roller door to open and until you are invited in. That helps us have sufficient time to complete our setup in a safe manner. Arriving late means your child might miss out on important information and instructions.

As much as possible the atmosphere in my art space is kept relaxing and peaceful. There will be water available at all times and if a workshop is longer than 3 hours there will be fruit and plain biscuits available in a separate space for some down time. Creativity should not be hurried.

We encourage positive workshop behaviour such as attentiveness and patience. Come with an attitude of sharing and curiosity. Workshop etiquette also applies to parents, please don’t let your phone interrupt important conversations and if you are talking with other parents please talk quietly. The atmosphere in my art space will never be too pressured and allow for creative expression.

If you or your child have any questions please ask. Questions are the best way to get a better understanding and learning together.
